IS GOD A LIAR?

Does the application of God's word in every area of our lives really work-really ring true? It is so easy to be lazy(give into the flesh) and not even attempt to take a crack at it. The Bible says in Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?" So I guess I should believe this right? What does it say about our hearts when we do not believe this? I surmise if we did, our lives and attitudes would be different. Wouldn't they? Would not our lives be different if we really believed that God is who He says he is and that His Word is true and that He is alive and active in our lives? Have we fed our souls so much junk food that our spirits are dying from malnutrition? How long and what will it take for us to believe the truth?

What was going on? What was he thinking?

I often wondered about what hellish season of life David must have been going through to write Psalm 56. He just wanted an escape from whatever was going on. He was being tormented, He was depressed. Who else did he turn to besides the Lord? Did the Lord answer him when he wanted to be answered? Did the Lord quickly come to his resue?

Psalm 56:1"Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
2Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
3Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
4My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
5Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
6And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
7Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
8I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest". How many times have we felt like that?

There is an incredible desparation in the hearts of men that only God can satisfy whether you know Him or not. The song "Rescue" is one that has been on my mind. Many have sang it before but no one has a voice like Eddie James. Listen to the right.

Rocco Roo

So tonight Rocco asked me if we could just snuggle tomorow. Just he and I watching Peter Pan together. And I told him that I would like that very much. I also told him earlier today that we would bake oatmeal raisin cookies without the raisins-that did not happen. So tomorow unlike today's school time, our math lesson will involve measuring cups and spoons. We will also observe time as we set the timer for our cookies. We will also have a relationship building session b.k.a. "snuggling" as we enjoy the cinematography of the lovely animated VHS edition of Disney's Peter Pan. He just wants cookies, a good flick, and his Mama.

What happened since the last episode?

Before I even begin, did I say that I love Orchids? Anyhow, Potty training is going okay. After telling a friend that Noahkeem poops in the potty, He decided to poop in his pants 3 times today. All three of course, I had to be responsible for cleaning up. Word of advice, never brag about potty training until you are 100 percent out of Pull ups.
Isn't it astounding how much physical labor you still invest after you've been in labor? Up and down stairs, chasing, playing, hand washing dishes, (if you aren't so blessed to have a dishwasher) moping, vacuuming, dusting, praying, taking stuff down, putting stuff up, changing sheets, changing diapers, bathing, dressing and dressing yourself if you're with it enough to do it before 2 in the afternoon, grocery shopping, need I say more? Oh- I should. Homeschooling, Bill paying, and finding the time to stimulate your own brain before it turns to mush. It's endless. Do we want sympathy? Some do. Do we want a helping hand? Some are blessed to have it. The good in all of this is that I lost all of my baby weight and still burn 500 calories a day by nursing. So ladies if you don't feel like laboring- don't labor. You deserve the day off.
